When I hit a problem while shipping software, I sometimes turn the solution into an open-source project instead of keeping it inside one product. I build small, independent developer tools and security-focused CLIs, and I keep them public on GitHub.
Fidocs
A zero-dependency documentation generator for Markdown and MDX.
It turns Markdown/MDX into static HTML or Gea apps, including an embed format for existing Gea projects. It is built around Node’s built-in test runner so runtime and development stay close to zero extra dependencies.

FiOTP
A small, secure TOTP/HOTP CLI and library.
It implements RFC 6238 TOTP and RFC 4226 HOTP. Local vault data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, with keys derived through PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256. It works as a CLI and as a programmatic API.

Express OpenAPI Decorators
A NestJS-like OpenAPI/Swagger workflow for Express.js.
TypeScript decorators generate OpenAPI docs from controllers and DTOs, instead of writing YAML, JSON, or JSDoc by hand. The package is meant to make API work on Express more structured.

FileTransfer
A peer-to-peer file transfer CLI for local networks.
It moves files and folders between macOS and Linux over Wi-Fi or LAN. TLS, shared-secret mutual authentication, and SHA-256 chunk checks let interrupted transfers resume. It compiles to one static binary on the Go standard library only.

I don’t treat open source as just publishing code on GitHub. Making a project usable by others means thinking about API design, docs, tests, security, dependencies, and how it will be maintained.
